| Wednesday, August 8, 2007 We are officially announcing that we are moving out of the Drivers Village Complex. As of today, August 8, the Drivers Village storefront is closed to the public while we pack. We are moving to the MOST (Museum of Science and Technology) in Downtown Syracuse. The layout will be moved into storage at the MOST until the Syracuse Fairgrounds Show. After the show the travel layout will be incorporated into the permanent layout. When the club travels to a show the travel layout will be removed leaving an operational permanent layout. Friday, March 30, 2007 The CNYMOD layout has been featured in the May 2007 issue of Model Railroader magazine. The article was much anticipated and we are very pleased with it. Wednesday, December 13, 2006 The CNYMOD travel layout is being setup at the Museum of Science and Technology (MOST) in Syracuse, New York. The unveiling of the layout will be this Saturday the 16th. As of that time, both the permanent layout at Drivers Village and the travel layout at the MOST will be on display for the public to see. The Drivers Village Layout will remain the primary layout for our weekday and weekend hours. The unveiling will be the exception this weekend. Saturday, July 9, 2006 CNYMOD was recieved the "Best of Show" award for its layout. The award is given to the modular club with the best modular setup. Thursday, April 6, 2006 CNYMOD has completed its move into the Drivers Village Complex! We will be open to the public at the Thomas the Tank Engine show this weekend. The show is Saturday April 8, 2006. It is open from 10am to 2pm. For directions and maps go to our meeting schedule page. Monday, February 13, 2006 CNYMOD officially announced our move out of the Eastwood American Legion and will move into the Drivers Village Complex by March 1st. Further information will be forthcoming as the move approaches. Sunday, May 22, 2005: At our monthly club meeting we decided to add these shows to the list: -Timonium Train Show: October 8 and 9 -Batavia Train Show: November 13 (not official yet) Friday, January 14, 2005 CNYMOD moved its free site to an official site and will soon discontinue its old site and the new site will be the only CNYMOD site. Saturday, November 20, 2004: Lou Sassi from the national magazine Model Railroader spent the entire day photographing our modules for a future article. The date is not yet known when this article will be published but as soon as we know the date it will be posted here on the News Page and the Home Page. |
